Since 2007 Expander acts as a specialist for everything concerning video and film. Besides films made in collaboration with artists shown in exhibitions and museums around the world, Expander accompanies projects for many cultural institutions, contributes features for television and develops stage design in theatre plays. Besides this Expander recently has some documentary films in own produktion.
Expander is also being used as a label for the illustration and graphic design work of Mikko Gaestel.

Expander is a cooperative label for Lilli Kuschel, Mikko Gaestel und Stefan Schmied. Stefan Schmied comes from the theatre world and studied cultural science und film. Lilli Kuschel and Mikko Gaestel both graduaded as »Meisterschüler« at University of Fine Arts Berlin and deal mostly with video installations and experimental film in their own artistic work. Among others they were exhibited at Transmediale Berlin, Architecture Filmfestival Rotterdam, Contemporary Art Museum Wien and Bremerhaven Art Museum
